Every 12 seconds, a woman in the United States is physically or emotionally assaulted.
And according to a recent Indianapolis Star survey
- More than 17% of high school girls surveyed in Indiana (some as young as 14) reported they have been forced to have sex.
- Of the 42 states surveyed, Indiana is second only to Wyoming for rape and dating violence incidents.
- 13.7 percent of young girls in Indiana reported incidents of dating violence (i.e., they had been hit, slapped, or physically hurt by a boyfriend in the past 12 months) as compared to the national average of 9.3 percent.
Our intention is to not have our daughters become the next statistic.
It’s time to cause a change.
Join us on December 1st, 2010 for a very special fundraising event designed to provide scholarships for 100 young women (ages 12-22) to attend the February 26, 2011 “100 Strong” experiential workshop. During the “100 Strong” workshop, Transformational Trainer, Nora Zarvos and Krav Maga Worldwide Certified Instructor, Jeff Fredericksen will empower these young women to take a stand for their lives by:
- Letting go of self-limiting conversations while creating a positive paradigm for healthy relationships
- Acknowledging and embracing their innate internal strength and self-worth
- Learning how to physically defend themselves with Krav Maga Worldwide self-defense techniques
Our intention is for every one of these 100 women to walk away from the “100 Strong” workshop with:
- A powerful sense of personal strength
- The knowledge that she is worthy of a violence-free life full of respect and appreciation
- The necessary skills to stand as a role model for her female peers
- The ability to inspire other young women to take a stand for their own lives
Thank you for joining us in causing a difference today. Download the "To Women with Love" brochure.
